Whitney Woodhull-Smith, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Whitney graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in exercise sport science and psychology. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from East Carolina University where she was a graduate assistant in the gait and balance research lab. Whitney is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and of the APTA’s Pediatric Special Interest Group. She has always had a passion for working with children with special needs. She has pediatric experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. Whitney has worked with a variety of diagnoses including cerebral palsy, developmental delay, spina bifida, traumatic and anoxic brain
injuries, spinal cord injuries, Down syndrome, failure to thrive, and burns, as well as with medically fragile and ventilator dependent children. She has experience with NDT, aquatic therapy, spasticity management, gait training, casting, and adaptive equipment. Whitney loves to have fun and always tries to incorporate play in her treatment sessions. She is also a firm believer in a family-centered care approach to help children and families reach their greatest potential.
