Sarah graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry. Merging her love of science with a desire to help families, she went on to earn a M.S. in Speech – Language Pathology at UNC-CH. She has worked with children facing challenges including apraxia of speech, autism, articulation disorder, developmental delay, DownĂs syndrome, fluency disorder, language impairment, and phonological disorder. Sarah has served students in preschool, self-contained, and mainstreamed settings at an elementary school. She has also provided diagnostics and treatment in the home setting. Sarah has training in treating behaviorally and emotionally handicapped children and adults in residential facilities. Her experience growing up with a sibling with autism has given Sarah a passion for partnering with families in their desire to maximize their children’s ability to communicate. She is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists, and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
