Kelly Farmer, M.A., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist and Clinical Director

Kelly received her Bachelor’s degree, as well as her Masters degree in Communication Disorders from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. She has experience providing therapy across diverse environments including clinical settings, adult rehabilitation facilities, public school systems, and private settings. She works with children and families in a variety of areas including autism spectrum disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, Down Syndrome, Kernicterus Disease, Broncio Pulmnary Displasia, DiGeorge Syndrome, pediatric developmental delays, and language delays. Kelly has received specialized training in the LiPS program, the Floortime Method, basic sign language, augmentative communication, and the Picture Exchange System. Kelly is a Hanen® Certified Speech-Language Pathologist who has been trained to provide parent training using Hanen® methods for families of children with speech and language delays. It is Kelly’s belief that in order for a child to communicate to the best of their abilities, a partnership must exist between the child, family, caregivers, therapists, and teachers. Kelly is passionate about her role in both facilitating and serving this partnership to give each child the opportunity to succeed. She is licensed by the Board of North Carolina Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists, and has her certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
