Alexandra “Ally” Spector, M.S. CFY-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Ally graduated from the Radford University in Radford, Virginia with her B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Spanish. Ally continued her education with a M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she experienced a variety of therapy settings, including the elementary school, child developmental daycare/preschool, early intervention private practice, aphasia groups, accent modification, and voice screenings As part of her studies, she was able to travel to Guatemala on a service-learning trip where she worked with preschoolers and children at a developmental school. Ally was also able to practice speaking Spanish, which she continues to improve upon. Ally has worked with both children and adults involving a number of speech and language issues, including autism, apraxia, down syndrome, developmental delay, literacy disabilities, aphasia, and phonological/articulation disorders. Ally particularly enjoys working with young children within the early intervention population with language needs. She believes in making therapy fun and collaborating with parents, teachers, and caregivers to provide the optimal level of support to further a child’s communication skills and help them succeed within their everyday environments.
